Fruit for this wine is sourced from the Rancho Santa Rosa vineyard. The vineyard is located within the Sta. Rita Hills appellation, one of California’s premiere cool-climate viticultural regions. This appellation is known for producing fantastic Pinot Noirs. The soils are maritime limestone based and the weather is consistently cool thanks the moist ocean breezes that sweep thought the vineyards daily. The cool, windy, rolling site vineyard site is planted to a combination of heritage, heirloom, and other specifically selected clones including clone 2a and Pommard 667.
